Metrotenerife’s board has approved plans begin tendering for a proposed southern extension of its light rail network.
The planned €37 million extension of Line 2 will cover 2.5 kilometres, linking Tíncer to La Gallega.
It would add four new stops to the network and carry around 3,000 passengers every day.
Metrotenerife said the extension was “part of a longer project for the urban and economic development of the southwest of the metropolitan area”.
