Visitors at Railtex 2013 will be the first to get hands on with The Rail Engineer’s new fully-interactive iPad edition.

Rail Media’s latest digital offering will not only allow regular magazine readers to easily access their favourite articles on the move, it will also feature additional content, videos and spectacular 360-degree photography.

The iPad edition, which will be available to purchase from June, will bring The Rail Engineer to millions of iPad readers around the world.

Organised into vertical stacks rather than traditional magazine spreads, the iPad edition is specially formatted to fit to the tablet, removing the constant zooming and moving required with normal digital pdf copies.

Tom O’Connor, managing director of Rail Media, said: “Previewing our new iPad issue at Railtex is a huge milestone for Rail Media and The Rail Engineer.

“There are always images and stories that we just can’t physically fit into the magazine. A new version for tablet readers allows us to add even more depth to stories, and it gives us a platform to include the sort of interactive content that we could never feature in the magazine.”

The Rail Engineer iPad edition will be on display at the Rail Media stand (A95) throughout Railtex.
