The tender competitions to find the main contractor and rolling stock supplier for a new light rail network in Odense has begun.
With work already underway to relocate utilities along the proposed route, Odense, the third-largest city in Denmark, has new begun the pre-qualification phase for two of the project’s four main contracts.
Odense Tramway said it hopes to award the contracts by the end of 2016, with a view to completing the 14-kilometre network by 2020.
The final two lots cover the main civils works and the operation and maintenance of the system.
