Streetcar number 801 has completed the first powered tests on the Kansas City light rail line.
In the early hours of this morning (November 12), the first KC Streetcar tram to operate under its own power travelled along Main Street from Union Station and through the River Market.
The tests are being performed at various speeds, checking how the CAF trams behave around corners and on approaches to platforms.
The authority has already conducted clearance tests along the route and power and systems tests at the Singleton Yard depot.
