ScotRail has released the first images of its Class 385 fleet under construction in Japan.
Produced by Hitachi, the first seven trains are being build in Japan before production move to the UK.
The new fleet will include 46 three-car and 24 four-car AT200 units. The first trains will arrive in summer 2017 and delivery of all the units will be completed in 2019.
The Class 385 fleet will operate on the Edinburgh-Glasgow via Falkirk High line.
I don’t mind those new trains. It’s what Hitachi are building for Abellio Scotrail. Mr DavidB.
