GSM-R for Luxembourg rail network

Luxembourg’s national railway company, CFL, has appointed Kapsch CarrierCom to install a GSM-R communications network along 271 kilometres of the country’s rail network.

As well as designing and supplying the system, Kapsch CarrierCom will provide operation and service support for three years.

Kapsch CarrierCom said the system would include an IP-basedRelease 4 core network and an ERTMS-ready RDN.base station.
