Gatwick Express introduces e-ticket and m-ticket options online

Gatwick Express, the non-stop rail-air link between central London and Gatwick Airport, has introduced e-ticket and m-ticket options online.

The e-ticket option allows customers to print their Gatwick Express ticket at home (up to 23:00 the day before travel) so they can walk straight onto the train where the onboard staff will scan the barcode on their ticket.

The m-ticketing facility sends the ticket directly to the passenger’s mobile phone (again up to 23:00 the day before travel).

With this paperless option the onboard staff simply scan the barcode on the mobile.

David Metherell, marketing manager for Gatwick Express, said:

“The Gatwick Express website now uses leading technology to create convenient ticket options. E-ticketing and m-ticketing makes booking a ticket online easier for our customers and the ongoing 10% discount means it is always cheaper to buy a ticket online.”
