Eurotunnel shuttle services set a new traffic record of 140,009 trucks in 2014, resulting in a 10 per cent rise in revenues to €124.6 million.
Group Eurotunnel as a whole reported a 15 per cent increase in revenues to €77 million in 2014.
The number of freight services using the Channel Tunnel rose by 11 per cent.
Jacques Gounon, chairman and chief executive of Groupe Eurotunnel SE, said: “On top of the excellent progress in revenues across the group’s activities, the new all-time record for truck traffic recorded in March shows the potential of the Channel Tunnel, which will be further strengthened by the current investment programme.”
