An Alstom/Bombardier consortium has been awarded a contract to install and maintain a new ERTMS signalling system on one of Barcelona’s busy commuter rail routes.
Awarded by Spanish infrastructure manager ADIF, the contract covers the supply of ERTMS signalling for a 56-kilometre route between L’Hospitalet de Llobregat and Mataró to the north of Barcelona.
The €72.7 million contract award, which was announced by Alstom today (February 15), also includes the maintenance of the system for the next 20 years.
