Digitally mapping Poland’s rail network

PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe has completed a €1.4 million project to digitally map Poland’s rail network.

Creating an easy-access digital map of the network will facilitate the design of new lines and improve the planning of renewal and maintenance work, PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe has said.

The digital asset management tool includes electronic copies of existing paper documents as well as a complete library of aerial photographs.
