DB Schenker opens Sochi office

DB Schenker Logistics has opened a new office in Sochi as the focus of the sporting world turns towards Russia for the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.

ZAO Schenker’s Sochi branch will offer logistics consulting and project management for clients throughout the sporting event.

Anatoly Gvozdev, managing director of ZAO Schenker, said: “This new branch will allow us to support businesses of our global and local customers, who have projects linked to the games in 2014 and coming events in the newly constructed sport and events cluster in Sochi.

“Also it will strengthen our domestic network in this rapidly growing region.”

ZAO Schenker was established in 1992.

The national network covers 22 cities across Russia, employing 800 members of staff.
