Listen to this article

DB Regio has ordered eight new Coradia Lint DMUs from Alstom for Nuremberg’s diesel network.

Alstom will deliver the units, which will augment the existing fleet of 27 trains supplied by Alstom in 2008, by March 2019.

The units will be built at Alstom’s Salzgitter factory in Germany. The €40 million contract includes the 900th Coradia Lint train to be sold by the company.

The trains ordered by DB Regio will have a maximum speed of 140 km/h and will have a total capacity of 370 people.
