CSPC orders Moscow Small Ring Railway EMUs

Russia’s Central Suburban Passenger Company (CSPC) has placed an order with Transmashholding subsidiary Demikhovskiy Engineering Plant (DMZ) for 35 new EMUs to operate on the Moscow Small Ring Railway.

DMZ will supply 35 six-car dc ED4M-500 electric trains for the reconstructed railway which encircles the Russian capital.

Deliveries are expected to take place between February and July next year in preparation for the start of service on September 2.

The new fleet will have modern HVAC and passenger information systems, as well as passenger Wi-Fi.
