Taylor Woodrow has been awarded a £17.8 million contract for the design and rebuild of White Hart Lane Overground station.

Due to be completed in 2019, works include creating a new ticket hall on Love Lane, a new entrance on Penshurst Road, two new lifts and a new station forecourt on Love Lane.

Transport for London (TfL) has said the station will remain open for the majority of the rebuild and will still be open to football fans travelling to the new Tottenham Hotspur stadium when it opens next summer.

TfL has said the new, improved station was being delivered to support a wider programme of regeneration in the area.

Jez Haskins, Taylor Woodrow’s TfL sector director, said: “Taylor Woodrow are pleased to be delivering what will become a new landmark station for TfL, which will benefit from the skills and expertise that we have gained in station upgrades at Victoria and Tottenham Court Road.

“We look forward to working with TfL and all of the local stakeholders to successfully transform White Hart Lane station.”
