Consortium appointed to signal Madrid-Lisbon rail link

A Bombardier/Alstom/Indra consortium has been awarded the contract to supply and maintain the signalling system along the high-speed section of the Madrid-Lisbon AVE.

The €164 million contract, awarded by ADIF, covers high-speed sections of the line in Spain’s Extremadura region.

Bombardier will supply its ERTMS Level 2 solution, Interflo, along the entire length of the line, while Alstom will supply the electronic interlocking system and Indra will provide the Spanish automatic train protection (ASFA) system.
