Alstom to supply trains for Augsburg diesel network

Transdev GmbH has awarded Alstom a €115 million contract to supply 28 new trains for the Augsburg diesel network.

Due to be delivered from December 2018, the new units will be operated between Augsburg-Landsberg, Augsburg-Füssen and Munich-Füssen.

Transdev will take over the running of the Augsburg diesel network from December 2018 until 2030.

The Coradia Lint vehicles will operate at speeds up to 140 km/h and can carry between 225 and 485 passengers.
