Agreement reached on new cross-border services between Poland and the Czech Republic

Listen to this article

Silesian Railways and Czech Railways (ČD) have signed a joint agreement to add new cross-border services between the Czech Republic and southern Poland.

From December 12, Silesian Railways will extend services that currently terminate at Chałupki and Wodzislaw Slaski to Bohumin, in the Czech Republics Moravian-Silesian Region.

The new connection to Bohumín will open up opportunities for passengers in the region with easier links to cities such as Prague, Brno, Pardubice and Olomouc.

In return, ČD will extend its Frydek-Mistek-Ostrava-Český Těšín services to Cieszyn.
