Mace Consult zeroes in on growth with new Cost and Commercial Lead

Mace, the international consultancy and construction company, has appointed Andy Beard to lead Mace Consult’s Cost and Commercial practice, drive its global offer and harness the benefits of digital transformation for client programmes.

With almost 20 years in the industry, Andy will bring his extensive experience across corporate real estate and infrastructure to support Mace’s purpose to redefine the boundaries of ambition.

Andy is a recognised global expert in cost management, helping deliver value to clients through supply chain strategy and procurement across infrastructure, major programmes in both the private and public sectors. Andy previously led the cost business as a partner at Arcadis as well as programme lead for digital services with a focus on sustainability.

In his role at Mace, Andy will grow Mace’s Cost and Commercial practice, collaborating with other Consult business units, such as rail, aviation, defence, energy and utilities, to transform project and programme delivery internationally. Andy will harness Mace Consult’s capabilities to explore, discover and action new ways of creating a more sustainable built environment.

Mace has a thriving Cost and Commercial team working internationally in Asia Pacific, Middle East, North America, UK and Europe and South-East Asia, across a range of sectors, from rail and housing to major programmes and aviation. Andy will be focused on building, shaping and leading the Cost and Commercial Management Practice Group within the UK and working with his counterparts in the international divisions to align the service offer across the global hubs, as well as innovating on the cost and commercial management offering.

Mace’s Cost and Commercial team publishes a quarterly Market View, forecasting construction tender prices in the UK, monitoring factors that could impact project delivery across all sectors. You can read the latest Market View here.
