New CEO at EuroMaint Rail

Ove Bergkvist has been appointed the new CEO of EuroMaint Rail. He replaces the company’s acting CEO Petter Arvidson by the end of June 2011 at the latest.

Ove Bergkvist worked most recently at Cardo AB where he was responsible for the Entrance Solutions division. He has worked at Cardo since 2004 and before that spent five years as an investment manager at an Investor-owned venture capital company and was also a management consultant at McKinsey & Co. Ove Bergkvist is 43 years old, has a Master of Science in Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology and has an MBA from the London Business School.

“Ove Bergkvist has extensive experience of strategic development in an international environment. He has successfully led an industrial business subject to tough competition into profitability thanks to a clear market focus and development of all parts of the business. EuroMaint Rail is currently a significant player on the European maintenance market for rolling stock and the conditions for continued growth are good. Ove Bergkvist has the right background and the purposefulness required to consolidate EuroMaint Rail’s strong position in Sweden and expand the business further in Europe,” says Wille Laurén, Chairman of the Board of EuroMaint Rail.
