c2c Rail appoints Kevin Frazer as Operations Director

National Express train operator c2c Rail has announced that Kevin Frazer has been appointed as c2c’s Operations Director. In this Board-level role Kevin will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s train operations including service delivery, operational safety, train planning & performance and operations standards.

Kevin was most-recently Head of Operations for c2c. He began his career as a British Rail Graduate Trainee in 1994 later working for Chiltern Railways as Train Crew Supervisor and Duty Control Manager before becoming Performance Manager. From 2000 to 2005 he was Operations Manager for West Anglia Great Northern and later moved to c2c to take up a role as Route Director.

c2c Managing Director, Julian Drury said, “I am absolutely delighted at this appointment for Kevin. He is a highly–experienced operator and a railway professional with a proven record of driving up performance and setting new UK records for punctuality, reliability and customer service. He is one of the best in his field and his appointment strengthens the c2c Executive team just before the start of our two-year franchise extension and as we prepare for the 2012 London Olympics.”

c2c holds the UK records for the highest annual punctuality by a franchised train operator at 96.7% and the record for any 4 week period at 98.8%. Customer satisfaction with c2c services, measured in the National Passenger Survey in Spring 2010 was 91% and satisfaction with c2c punctuality was 94%.
