Bromsgrove Station could be relocated and the line through it electrified under plans being developed by Worcestershire County Council and Centro, the West Midlands Integrated Transport Authority.
If they come to fruition, wires could be extended from Barnt Green to Bromsgrove as soon as 2014. Meanwhile the DfT is working with train operator London Midland on an expansion of Birmingham’s cross-city services.
