The move coincides with its latest recruitment drive to boost employee numbers by 25% by April 2022.

Ian Walters, Managing Director of SLC Rail said: “We’re delighted to open our new office today to support our business plans and our ambitions to help deliver a better railway.

“In the next three months alone, we’ll be increasing our headcount significantly, and having this space will help us to attract new talent.  Having doorstep access to excellent amenities, gyms, bars and restaurants is a great way to encourage people back in the office, where real collaboration can happen.

“The new space will also enable us to further focus on the wellbeing of our employees through arranging regular fitness and social activities, we even have a dedicated wellbeing room which people can use to relax and have time out.”

Since starting over a decade ago, SLC has helped to deliver significant investment strategies and projects across the UK, including the West Midlands Rail Programme, developing a new station building in Kidderminster and designing and delivering a new station at Worcestershire Parkway.

With the current government guidelines, the office will initially only be available for people who need to use it.
