AmcoGiffen is proud to unveil its innovative Temporary Works Coordinators Academy, a significant step forward in its commitment to enhancing safety and excellence in Temporary Works Management, recognised as one of the most critical high-risk activities.
The Academy is designed to instil best practices, mitigate risk behaviours, and foster a culture of collaboration among its Temporary Works Coordinators (TWCs). By creating a robust community of experts, it enables the sharing of knowledge and support across the company, ensuring that every project is delivered with the highest standards of care and precision.
The Academy offers a comprehensive training program that goes beyond the formal CITB 2-Day Temporary Works Coordinators course. Through a blend of presentations, interactive sessions, and hands-on assessments, participants gain practical skills and in-depth knowledge. These sessions are delivered internally by our regional designated Temporary Works specialists, ensuring relevance and expertise.
Key features include:
- Practical application of AmcoGiffen Temporary Works procedures
- Clear understanding of roles, responsibilities, and Temporary Works risks
- Using proprietary systems
- Effective change management
- Development of non-technical skills
- Assurance and auditing protocols
Split over two immersive days, the Academy covers both foundational aspects of Temporary Works coordination and advanced technical and leadership skills. To complement this, ongoing development is supported through a mentorship program and a TWCs forum for continuous learning and sharing of best practices.
“We see this Academy as more than a training program—it’s an investment in our people,” said Hamish Muir, AmcoGiffen’s Design and Engineering Director “It’s about empowering our TWCs to confidently lead Temporary Works aspects of projects and drive safety and innovation across the business.”
By committing to this initiative, AmcoGiffen is setting a benchmark in Temporary Works Management, maintaining its reputation for excellence, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects, prioritising safety at every stage.
