Five-thousand people logged onto the RailStaff Awards website to pick their finalists in the first 48 hours of voting for the 2012 event.

This year’s event, which will be held October 20, will take on a 1920’s prohibition theme.

To vote, go to the RailStaff Awards website and pick your favourite in each category. The people with the most votes will become finalists.

The list of finalists will be sent to a panel of esteemed judges and they will choose the winners.

Voting closes on September 13.

Early bird tickets are still available at a discounted price of £80 per ticket + VAT until September 14. To book, just go to the website or call Pat on 01530 560021.
