By the end of March the number of exhibitors planning to take part in this year’s Railtex show had risen to more than 350.

Rail staff will be particularly welcome at the show which will be of interest to all involved with the rail industry.

Atkins, Bombardier, Invensys Rail, Knorr-Bremse, Siemens and Tata are just a few of the many familiar names exhibiting. For train operators and maintenance staff, products on display will include innovations in braking materials, the latest driver’s seats and developments in battery technology.

New products for train washing, enhanced wheel profile measurement systems and ways of improving depot safety will also be on show, while operators’ passenger needs will be reflected by the companies offering modular station structures.

In the signalling sector, state-of-the-art systems will be exhibited alongside new lightweight signal structures. Communications and data systems will also feature, with innovations in passenger counting, customer information, CCTV and Ethernet technology.

Track and infrastructure products suppliers will be strongly represented. Among innovations on display will be a new rail clipping machine, the latest rail saws and improved site lighting systems, as well as new thinking in level crossing design and a new source of anti-vibration track products.

Railtex takes place at Earls Court in London from 14 to 16 June.
