Nineteen children under the care of Leeds Children’s Hospital will be special guests at the Betfred Super League Grand Final this Saturday 24 September.

The children, accompanied by parents and NHS staff, will travel to Old Trafford to see Leeds Rhinos take on St Helens courtesy of Super League and train operator, Northern.

Northern is sponsoring the community stand at this weekend’s Grand Final, a partnership designed to make the event affordable for families, grassroots supporters, and community groups.

As well as watching the match, the children from Leeds Children’s Hospital will receive a special Robbie Burrows shirt.

Tony Baxter, regional director of Northern, said: “We have established a great relationship with Leeds Children’s Hospital and through our partnership with Betfred Super League we were delighted to be able to give the children and their parents an extra special day out.”

Rhodri Jones, chief commercial officer of Super League, said “We are pleased to be able to offer the children, parents, and staff of Leeds Children Hospital a special invitation to the 25th Betfred Super League Grand Final. We also would like to extend our thanks to our partners Northern and Leeds Rhinos for helping to make this special moment happen”.
