Public transport running as normal in Manchester following riots

Public transport services in Manchester are expected to run as normal this morning following last night’s unrest in the city centre.

Metrolink’s South Manchester Line had to close early due to the violence, and services stopped going into the city centre at around 8pm last night.

Passengers are advised to check with the operator of their service for updates.
