London riot travel advice

Following last night’s violence and riots in London, the transport network is operating a ‘good service’ as it did for much of the night.

Tramlink services are suspended from Wandle Park to Reeves Corner. Croydon town loop is also closed until further notice.

Travellers can check Transport for London’s live travel updates for up to date information regarding their services.

London Underground is currently running a normal service although there are severe delays on the Picadilly Line due to an earlier fire alert at Holborn (which is now open) and a signalling problem at Arnos Grove.

London Overground services are all running normally.

All National Rail stations that were closed last night have been reopened. Earlier there were no trains between Charlton and Dartford via Woolwich Arsenal, although these services have now resumed (as of 14:00), trains are not calling at Woolwich Arsenal due to a ‘problem near the railway’. The station has now closed.

Passengers can use the Docklands Light Railway on all ‘reasonable routes’, which is running a normal service.

The bus network is mainly running as normal, although diversions are in place where roads have been closed by police, mainly in Tottenham and Croydon.

The DLR station at Woolwich is to be closed to prevent further disorder this evening but Lewisham station will remain open to passengers.
