To help Birmingham City fans arrive at the Carling Cup final at Wembley, London Midland is running seven extra trains from Birmingham New Street to Wembley on 27 February, including three “Blues Specials” which will leave New Street at 0853, 0953 and 1053 calling at Birmingham International and Wembley Central only.

The scheduled trains from Birmingham New Street to Northampton at 0914, 1014, 1114 and 1214 will also be running through to Wembley to make things even easier.

After the match, 6 trains (approximately 3000 seats) will run back from Wembley to Birmingham.

Match-goers who don’t live in the Midlands will also be able to take advantage of several extra trains between Northampton, Milton Keynes and Wembley Central, full details of which can be found on London Midland’s online journey planner.

David Whitley, Head of Marketing for London Midland, commented, “This is a big day for Blues fans, and it’s great to be playing a part in it. Tickets on each of the extra trains cost just £17.50 return, so there should be no shortage of takers, making for a great atmosphere on board!”

Fans are advised to visit London Midland’s website for details of times and fares.
