Isle of Man success for SigAssure

SigAssure’s track trolley technology is now in use on the Isle of Mann.

Two light-weight sigMALP trolleys are currently in service on the island following a demonstration visit in February 2012.

The product’s gauge adjustment capability will allow Isle of Mann Railway engineers to configure the trolley to either of the two gauges in use on the network to carry out maintenance work.

Richard Merrills, managing director of SigAssure UK, said: “The visit was so successful, two of our sigMALP products have been purchased by the railway, with a further demonstration arranged for March 2013, so that we can continue to build on such an important relationship between our two companies.

“I am certainly very pleased to have visited and experienced the kindness and open mindedness of all of Jeremy’s team.

“Now that the heavy duty MALP is ready for the market, we felt it appropriate to show the engineers that are now using the MALP the new improvements and alternative applications it can perform.”
